About The Read Green Initiative
The Read Green Initiative offers millions of people FREE access to an alternative, environmentally friendly way of enjoying favorite magazines, books and other publications.
Participants can select one FREE one-year subscription to the magazine of their choice in Zinio's media-rich digital format. We know you will like it. When you purchase additional publications through our site, a portion of the proceeds from the sales will be used to purchase eco unit credits, to buy more trees.
The Read Green Initiative is organized and powered by Zinio, the world's largest publisher and distributor of digital magazines. It is supported by a number of well known publishers, and other large companies.

Why Does The Read Green Initiative Matter?
12 billion magazines are published in the United States each year. That's a lot of paper. Many groups and associations are dedicated to helping industry participants explore earth-friendly alternatives such as recycling programs, reducing newsstand distribution and ensuring printing is done on recycled paper.
The Read Green Initiative salutes all of these efforts and hope to add to these efforts by offering the opportunity to explore digital reading.
The Read Green Initiative is focused on sharing a new way to read. We call it reading green.
